Fabia VRs- Water

Featured Replies

It's probably nothing to worry about but i've just found some pools of water under the trusty old Furby after i drove to work this morning. It's only water but it's been dry overnight in Leicester.

It's kind of like the pools of water that you get with the air-con on, but i've not had it on since last Thursday.

Anyone know what it's likely to be?

The air con runs all the time (even when it's switched off) so it could well be normal. Whereabouts under the car is the pool of water? :D

Chris

The front scuttle drains to just behind the wheel arches so any condenstion or water will run out there.

It's in a bit of a non-descript place. Back from the front driver's side wheel and about a foot under the car (towards the middle of it). Don't even know what runs under there.

Sounds like the aircon to me.

Water pump?

air con drain, weather has got warmer and its now producing condensation.

Thanks, will relax now and have a good nights sleep!

air con is on all the time? arggh! surely thats not a great thing for economy or is it in a eco mode or summat?

When looking into buying and tuning a honda crx vtec, I found a popular mod where by you fitted a shorter belt, missing the aircon pump completely, cutting losses between the engine and wheels, it was said to make 5-10bhp difference, would be interested in a technical opinion, Ross? Would it work with the Fabia?

Sorry to highjack thread, but I believe this has run out of steam anyhow + the original poster has THE answer...
