A colleague recently wrote off his lowered, pimped, modified Saxo VTR. His insurance money arrived today so he's looking to get a replacement for

They're great, but you try finding one that's not sold already or a wrong'un...:thumbdwn:

You can add 106 rallye to his list...

Why not set him up with a stunning Primera GT SE and bag yourself £100 for doing the deal!

;)

Mileage is over the 70k limit but has full history and is in excellent condition, insurance aint bad at all and the flippy paint will do well down the Golden Arches.

I'll second Lummox - I've got a mate who had a Primera GT the same and he said it was one of the best handling cars he'd had. He had his tweaked a little, though - but it looked ace. :)

Only about 1100kgs aren't they?

It is the best handling hatch of its size i've driven tbh.

I may be biased cause the pictures are hosted on my site :P :rofl:

To be brutally honest that is a whole lot of car for the money and I think we all know that with Ross as the owner it's going to be top line.

I used to have a Jap import CRX Vetec like that - It had a full glass roof and went like snot off a chickens lip.

A really nice Felicia Fun?

EG Shape Honda Civic VTi 92 - 95

Got to second the Primera though, since I have just become the owner of my second one.

A low powered car til his insurance goes down again? ;)

The accident wasnt his fault ;) - rear ended on the M42. (by a fellow Golden Arches Racer)

Its still has to be declared though, and 9 out of 10 times the premium will go up.

bengie has a nice 2.9 V6 RWD number sat on the drive that I'm sure he'd let go for significantly less than

How about a pug 306, should be able to get one for very little money as our one got written off for about £1500 and that was a DTurbo.

****er that hit me in a BMW rarrr. The 306 handles really well, parts are cheap and it's a lot bigger inside and more powerful than a Saxo or a 106.

Lots of 306 boy racer parts too since they appear to be a popular pimp mobile now they are going for under a grand. Insurance is very cheap too a TD was only group 5 IIRC.

Primara GT is a good car, although i can't remember which primaras rusted like anything. Guessing not this one though :)

If he's trying to impress at the Golden Arches, it's gotta be a Corsa GSi. Tidy examples seem to come in under budget, plenty of tuning stuff available for it and any spare cash he has can be used to barry it up or buy milkshakes for his biatches ;)

Chris

Yeah but how many biatches can you fit in a corsa :P

i swear that's the opening to a joke...something about having to take their hats off...

Old 309GTI :D

Nova GSI with a trip to Harry Hockley? :D

And a trip to Don Palmer? ;)

Chris

I must confess I like the idea of a Nova more and more :D

There is a "club" called IIRC the Performance Nova Group. They're a bunch of, on the whole, middle aged men with Novas. They are all properly modified in the engine, ride and handling department, none of ya tacky bodykits. They are seriously quick motors that sometimes look like complete ****boxes :D

But whatever mods they do it'll still have a wonky offset driving position where the steering wheel is centered over your left leg

well a 306 does perform very well and handle very well "out of the box"

Ditto for the primera too :)
