No hot air in backseat

Featured Replies

Hi, and thanks for a great forum for all things Skoda 😊

I have lost the heated air in the backseat of my 2016 Superb, it only blows cold air.

In the front the aircon is working fine, both hot and cold air.

Any ideas on what could be wrong or where the best place to start searching for faults?

It could be one of the flaps is sticking and not letting any hot air through to the rear.  Have you tried resetting the flaps?  I'm not sure how this is done as I've never needed it on this car, but it'll be here somewhere if you run a search.

Thanks, a good suggestion, but unfortunately it didn`t solve the issue.

I've just remembered I had this problem about 3 years ago, but it turned out it was self induced by me being stupid!  I was driving from Brecon to Stansted Airport to collect SWMBO on a bitterly cold winter's day when it stayed below freezing all day (a mild summer day for you in Norway!)  I kept on feeling cold air in the car as I was driving and I checked all windows were closed and I couldn't understand why I didn't feel very warm.  I stopped at Kettering for a coffee and when I returned to the car, I started to look at where the cold air was coming from.  It was obvious when I hit the menu button and it showed the temperature for the rear was set at LO, so it was pumping out freezing cold air all the time I was driving.  I don't know why it was set at LO as I very rarely have any back seat passengers.  I can only think that something on the back seat slipped forward and rested against the button, turning it down to the minimum.  It pays to look at the obvious first!

I don't know where the sensor is for controlling the temperature in the rear of the car, but could this be faulty?  I'm not very technically minded, but maybe someone on here'll know where it is.
