I'm trying to replace the window regulator, wire and lifters. I see what your meant to do, wind the wire round the wheel till tight but I can't get the last wind meaning the wire is too loose. Any tips?

Has anyone successfully Installed window regulator wire, I get the idea you have to wind both ends around the white plastic gear till it's all tight but I can't get the wire around the final corner wheel it's just too tight.

There is a lot of tension in the cables. Might have to drill out one of the rivets to allow you to 'swing/pivot' the guide rail over and get the last wind of the cable on.
