Hi all

im looking on eBay and there are loads of foot pack and bars available.

I know I need the 775 foot pack but the bar length is worrying me

had anyone got Thule aero bars and know the width I need ?

I nearly put a bid on 118mm bars but searched and these are too narrow ‘apparently’

I've just found my old advert for when I sold my roofbars:-

"Thule Aero 969 roof bars and Foot Pack 775"

My bars where 128cm long, but as mentioned above you can go longer. I35cm might be better, but no longer.

127cm or longer springs to mind. You can go longer to give more surface area to put things on. You don’t want them overhanging the widest part of the car incase they clip a pedestrian as you scream past in your awesome Yeti.

some notes I made of suitable bars when researching them...

Thule Rapid 775 footpack

Thule Wingbar Evo 127 bars (replaces 969)

Thule Wingbar Edge 9583

127CM ... be careful about using longer bars ... Thule only machine a slot about 150mm, on the underside to accept the foot kit ... if you use bars that are much wider than Thule recommend then you need to elongate the slot to accept the longer bars or you will find the feet dont actually sit on the roof rails properly.

Hope it helps.
