One touch Windows

Featured Replies

My pre-FL VRS 230 doesn't have one -touch windows. I have to hold the switch all the way to open/close the windows fully.

I'm aware that there are 2 clicks on the switch, and the second one still doesn't lower/raise the window completely, I still have to hold it.

I've tried pulling the window up all the way, releasing, and then holding for one second, as stated i the manual. This gives me one touch window for a few minutes, then it reverts to normal again.

Is there another way this can be reset?

Thanks.

Some MQB platform cars (which includes the Octavia 3) require you to do the wind the window all the way and hold both going up & down more than once (I've seen as many as 5 times mentioned).

Had to do mine yesterday, 2019 Scout, all the way down, then up and hold for 2 seconds, on all four windows, all now working as they should.

Thanks, I've tried this, but they stop doing the 'one touch' after a while.

Did you turn the ignition off in between each one?

No, switch on ignition and did all four from each door, not all from the switches in the drivers door.

Is your car battery on its way out? Do you ever get low battery warnings? I had an issue with my one touch stopping working every time my battery got low. No issues with the car starting up, but had to do the reset on each window constantly. Since replacing the battery I've not had to do this once.

do you have the engine running when you try and teach it?

If the battery's not brand new the supply to the motors can drop when you're teaching them and can cause errors in teaching.

Also, do you have anything wedged in the window? like a sun blind or wind deflectors? they can sometimes cause errors too.
