Software update, UK

Featured Replies

Anyone in the UK had a recent update alert? My software version seems to be lagging behind what other people are reporting unless it's country specific.

I haven't clicked update just yet as I'm going to wait until I get home where there is some 'reception'.

Strange how my system doesn't know what hardware it has!!!

OTA updates will not change any numbers under system information. OTA updates are just some small updates to the navigation, terms&conditions, etc. All major updates need to be carried out by the dealer.

OK, that makes sense- thanks.

Is it worth trying to get a dealer update just yet or wait until more of the trillion bugs are ironed out?

I had a couple OTA updates with “minor fixes”. I switched from the eSIM to my home WiFi for now, so updates are faster.

How did you do the switch?

If you don't have any major issues at the moment, I would wait a bit.

When you go to the Wifi setting, select the “Search for Wifi” and it tells you that this will disable the esim. Then just connect it to the home network. eSIM seems to be auto activated while I’m away too, as the second one popped up while I was waiting at the train level crossing.
