Virtual dashboard missing image

Featured Replies

Hello,

I recently drive a skoda given by my work.

On the left side of the virtual cockpit it seems there is a image missing?

Can this be fixed or is this normal?

This option is made to show your own pictures which you can load from a USB stick. You can choose to view something else in the left dial through settings.

Isn't this the background option?

When you press the silver roll button on the right side twice it will select it. Then push the right arrow on the same side of the steering wheel and it will allow you to select a different predefined background.  At least this is how it works for me.

One question please: how you can load from a USB stick? It is written somewhere in the manual?

Sorry, of course it is the background picture (embarrassed ) .

Is your USB stick the USB-A version? If so, you need an adaptor (or cable) to convert from the car's USB-C socket to your USB-A stick. I did this with an adaptor and it works fine. I bought two adaptors from http://skoda-acc.com/Skoda-Adapter-USB-C-to-USB-A-30-000051443J .

Ok, thanks, yes I have an USB-C memory stick but how do I move the images from the USB-C to the infotainment internal memory?

Sorry; it wasn't clear. I thought you wanted Infotainment to work from your USB stick. No idea about Images to Infotainment permanently. If it is possible no doubt some techie will be along shortly to explain how.

Sort of linked to the OP's question. How do I get additional radio logos? On my mk3 they were on the SD card and easy to upload. On this car, I go to radio settings >> logos. Find a station that hasn't got a logo and edit. I don't get an option to find another image.

I have a brand new USB-C flash drive with a folder for the images. Ta.

@crisdevis Did you ever figure this out? I have tried putting some jpg files on a USB stick but when going to the "Backgrounds" selector, none of the files show up as an option. It could be that the file needs to be a certain aspect ratio or certain number of pixels, but in any case I would love to hear from someone who succeeded in loading backgrounds from a USB stick.
