My car is poorly

Featured Replies

Just dropped my mate home at their house and just got in my car to go home and it wont work, seems to be fuel pump or something. Just rang the AA and they will be with me sometime before 4 am (Woohoo :finger: )

So my poor car is going to be off the road for a while......

Just thought I would share my unhappiness with you all :thumbdwn: :( :(

Sorry to hear about your unfortunate situation.

I'm sure Mr AA will be able to sort it for you.

Otherwise if you have to wait for it to be picked up you'll be waiting another 2 hours!!!!!

I know hun thanx..... and Im at work at 8 in morning :( also im 15 miles from home too.

but fingers crossed it aint as bad as I thought.........

oh dear

I'm just setting off to work now, if you want a lift!:D

well an update the car will start but after a lot of cranking and there dont seem to be the usual sound you get when you turn the ignition the whosh sort of thing. Any ideas

Did the AA man plug his computer in to see if there were any codes?

No doubt too late to help, but mine died unexpectedly last week, then eventually came back to life. The dealer blamed a loose fuel pump relay.

No cos when he got to it, it started. We then went to start it later on and it wouldnt start. You have to hold the key while the engine is turning for ages..... :(

you break anything dont ya!

Just joking! :P

If wayne hasn't already get him to stick VAGCOM on it and see if there are any errors.

What does that mean then?

And how much are they?

Same prob as mine had, no pump noise, first time it happened it kept cranking over and eventually fired up but with coil light flashing and em light on, next time it happened was 80 miles from home, and wouldnt start at all, left it for 3 hours for the aa to turn up, he jumps in and it fires up also with lights still flashing. Been in the garage twice now, first time they said it was an intermitent electrical fault of faulty fuel pump relay. Next time it went in it had to stay for a day and have a new crank position sensor fitted which is now running fine with no reoccurance as yet fingers crossed. Could be the same prob.
