Motor on the blink. Can anyone advise best place online to purchase a new / half decent one & linkage that won't break the bank.

 

Friend suggested second hand but wouldn't that likely be problematic too?

Not a Scooby about the wiper motor. The linkage you can probably fix yourself by stripping down, cleaning the pivots with fine carbide paper and rebuilding with a lithium or molybdenum grease.
