Fault codes 00153, 00154, 02383 on Octavia Mk2

Featured Replies

Hey guys!

New to the forum so I hope I put this post right.

I have tried to search my problem a few days without any really results.

I got my hands on a autocom and got these fault codes on the wipers : 00153, 00154, 02383 but I can´t find any good explanation to having the three codes at the same time.

The windscreen wipers suddenly stopped working without any strange sounds or strange movement.

When I happened I had the bonnet open checking out another problem but I didn´t have the wipers on at the time.

When I were to drive off I tried to start the wipers without any results.

I first checked the bonnet lock beacuse I know the wipers will not work with it open.

But I couldn´t see any faults and the car registers that the bonnet is closed.

Took the wiper arms off and the plastic cover under windscreen to check wiper engine.

Closed the bonnet lock and tried starting it and no souns, movements or strange smells (like burned wiper motor).

I also disconected the motor to try and measure up a signal but I don´t know if I measured correct beacuse I got 12 volt on pin one all the time even with the ignition off and nothing on the second pin even when wipers on and pending 9 volts on the third pin even with the ignition off. That mesurement I did from pin to minus on the battery. I then measured from pin one to pin two and so on with the ignition on and off and wiper on and off with the same results.

First question have I done the measurments right?

After I tried measuring I briefly checked the wires for any damages near the motor and even in the steering wheel "axle" but couldn´t find anything.

Please someone I need help!

Start hating this car with all the troubles I have had.
