Oil Catch Can

Featured Replies

Hi Guys,

Been doing a lot of reading on forum and finding lots of interesting information. I have a 2 week old New Octavia vRS Nov 19 build Hatch. Love it love it. Dealer demo with 3000km on the clock. Love it love it. Im looking at fitting a catch can and wanting some suggestions on which can to fit. I suspect there a many options. At this stage Im not looking at modding much as here in Aus there really is not point as you cant put your foot down with out making an unwanted donation the the Fines Academy. Im just wanting to prevent as much as I can the carbon buildup.

Thought and ideas all accepted

Thanks

Dogbone is a good mod if you’re putting your foot down a lot. Stops that wheel hop on take offs and gears changes become tight and responsive.

I did the full lot.

  • Apr pendulum mount
  • 034 Bottom insert
  • 034 Top insert

Very crisp and strong launches now.

Read so much about them got mixed messages.

All the extra noise people have been saying there is at times.

I am 110% positive they just didn’t put it in properly or didn’t have the car level when putting new bolts in.

  • No extra noise when reversing.
  • strong engine pull when I start the engine with no slop.
  • A slightly louder vibration when pulling away slowly from a stop.          (but that has been getting less and less as it’s bedding in)
