While doing wife’s car up I had the spare wheel out for the 1st time since it was new.

Only to find rust round the Bungs/Grommets with one being very bad with rust. 
I ordered new ones from TPS and took an old one with me to check but appear different but lad said that is what is listed

Anyone know if these are right/wrong or replacement for them

That will be correct, probably changed the design over the years. 
 

I had the same happen to mine so removed the bung remove the rust treated it and used some tiger seal to put it back in. 

1K0 899 185 (40mm) is correct for the spare wheel well.

I've just replaced all 8 grommets under the cills on mine as they were starting to perish. Those ones are N 102 265 01 (30mm). They are very cheap, flimsy plastic.

they fit but don’t seem to fit as well as the old ones and one hole needs welded as to far gone.

took a old one out just above wheel well behind seat that’s like new and tried a newer type in that hole. Again fitted but not sure about the sealing ( probably need some sort of sealant on them)
