Wireless CarPlay Adaptor

Featured Replies

Hi,

just wondering if anyone has successfully used a Wireless adaptor on a 2020 VRS. I’ve tried to activate internal wireless CarPlay but I don’t think the 5ghz wifi antenna is fitted.

if so which adaptor are you using.

If you have a MK3 Octavia, it'll have a MIB2.5 headunit which doesn't support wireless carplay :)

Hi yes that’s correct. You can get wireless adaptors to plug into USB port that give you wireless CarPlay. Just wondering if anyone had tried any and what results they got.

adaptors like Carlinkit and Play2Air etc

IIRC @SashaGrace has used the CarPlay2Air.

I have the Carlinkit Mk1 dongle, really impressive, I’m sure the Mk2 moves the game along :)

The only problem with Carlinkit 2.0 that only works with iPhone, if you have that, it works flawlessly;) Android not supported.

If you want wireless Android Auto, try wirelessAA https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/aawireless#/ :D

Given the OP asked about CarPlay, the Carlinkit is probably fine...
