Superb iV kWh consumed per month

Featured Replies

Hi.  I have looked for this but can't seem to find it.  My Superb iV is a company car, so I can claim for the electricity used to charge it in a month.

However, to do this I need to know how many kWh my vehicle has consumed in the month and I can't find anywhere I can look at this.

I have only had it just over a month so the "Long Term" figure would still show what I have used, if I could find it.  I can find average and instant figures, but I can't find on the panel how many kWh the car has actually consumed.

Does anybody know where I can find it?

Thanks in advance.

Don't think there is such a display. It would be pretty meaningless since the figures displayed include energy recovered and depending on the settings energy from the generator.

Its easy for me, on Octopus Energy you can simply download your energy usage in spread sheet format and with a  swipe of the mouse see how much the car has used to charge. From zero miles to full (approx. 33 miles on the dash) its about 11.8 kWh on average.

Thanks.  I don't have that option at the moment.  Apparently other cars can do it as my boss has a BMW hybrid, but it would be useful to find a way to do it so I can claim my money back.  :cash::cash:

Just an update.  There doesn't seem to be something on this that I can get off the car or app.  I could get it off a home charging point except I don't have one as we are planning to move house.  So my solution is to use a Smart Plug with Energy Monitoring (TP-Link Kasa KP115) which the company said they will accept.

Just for information in case anyone else has a similar issue.

Don't forget to reduce the charging current when using a smart plug. Don't want to burn it out. They may say they are rated for 13a but not for long periods.

I monitor my charging power using a Meross smart plug with energy monitoring. The app on my phone looks like this....

Thanks.  I'm currently using a Teckin on mine so I can turn it off when it's charged, but it doesn't have energy monitoring.

Not had issues with the plug overheating even for a full charge on a warm day. I did do a rough calibration of it though using my smart meter as a reference and found it to be about 15% high.

Just an update.  I've been using the TP Link Kasa for a couple of weeks now with no issues.  No signs of overheating, and it's giving me the figures I need for my expense claims.

Out of interest how many miles per KWh are you averaging in pure electric mode? Or is it impossible to tell?

You can tell after a pure electric journey. It'll display on the virtual cockpit.

3-5 currently. (post edited after I checked on the app)
