Any chance someone in here with a Combi etec without electric seats can advise whether this is a standard feature?

Hi Strider, welcome to the forum.

Unlikely to be standard without electric seats - I suspect will be similar to the Mk 3, my understanding is that this can be coded into the Mk 3 but passenger mirror will not necessarily dip to correct position in relation to drivers seat.

... unless memory electric seats are fitted and the mirror with the position feedback signals is fitted (13 pin vs. 8 pin).

Yes, if you have electric seats. El. seats are not a part of standard trim in all countries.
