  • Well, after a 7 month wait, I picked up my Sportline facelift today. All options present, including Canton, and the electric child locks with the family pack.

Ordered 3 months after me, delivered X months before me 🤣

Will be nice to see a vRS nipping around when I visit the parents though!

though the engine feels quite tight and stinky because it's so new obviously

Do yourself a favour and don't even look at the mpg figures for the first 1,000 miles or so. Oh, and give premium unleaded a go... 😁.

I was also expecting DCC in Comfort mode to be softer than it appears to be, so the jury is out on that

Really? It's like a cruise ship rolling from side to side. Made everyone feel sea-sick, so it's either normal or sport for me.

All in all extremely happy and can't wait to finish getting it run in so I can enjoy the performance too.

Enjoy! Mine started to really loosen up around 1,000 miles in, but I left it a bit after that before having a proper hoon about. It's worth the wait (both delivery and running in!).

Super unleaded E5 97 or 99 Ron minimum in the UK.   Not called Premium and the Retailer is not important.   95 Ron E10 unleaded.  Again the retailer of it will not matter really in the UK.

Interesting.  I have experience of DCC for Ford rather than VAG, and I was used to Comfort really rounding off speed bumps etc.  Still early days but from limited driving so far the Kodiaq comfort feels like that I was expecting for Normal.  Maybe incorrect expectations, or maybe a problem of some kind so I'll have to see how it goes.  Ford was probably rolling on 18s from memory, so coule be the effect of the 20s I suppose.

VPower petrol a must for me too. 👍

Sharing my experience, which will achieve nothing other than potentially amuse some of you, and position me as owning the longest wait time on the forum... not something I aspired to..

Original lease order placed MARCH 2021.... yes, March.... with a delivery date of July. Order accepted by factory shortly after.

Then the facelift was confirmed, and my order was delayed to Sept and then to Oct but was confirmed as going to be the facelift version. Not happy about the delay, but at least I wouldnt get an outdated look.

Have now been in perpetual darkness ever since as to when delivery will be, bar periodic updates from lease company of "The dealer has advised that they are still currently waiting on a build week for your vehicle, your vehicle is still in a queue but we can’t get any information from Skoda as to how long the queue is.". I understand there is little the lease company, and probably the dealership they are using, can really influence.

I was last told that it would potentially be March 2022 for delivery, but as of today I havent been told a build week yet, and I imagine to achieve March it would have to be in production by now. So that'll be another in the long line of further push back.

Friends ask why am I persisting, but in reality I am helpless. I have a good deal that I dont want to forego, I want a Kodiaq, and if I did cancel and go down another route I am at the back of the queue again (I may never have left that position though to be honest).

If anyone has any thoughts or tactics that may put some pressure somewhere along the line then Im all ears...

There is nothing you can do afaik. No one knows what the real deal is. I think they messed up big and just maybe your car is somewhere on the side waiting an forgotten about or maybe hard to get picked up for further assembly. March/april 22 seems to be the golden delivery period as most got that new estimate.

Exactly this. We're all in the same terrible boat.

You win on the wait though - spoke to dealer today (no build date) and I actually ordered 16th April not May, again facelift delay, so even I'm not as bad as yours!

Simply STUNNING!!! The silver really works for the VRS doesn’t it. I was toying with the silver too, but went graphite grey at last second. What a machine…..

What colour is this. Thinking of metal gray on sportline. Anyone got a pic or comments on that colour

Placed an order on vRS exactly on the 1st of sept. Sat behind the wheel yesterday. So, the delivery took a little less than 5 months.. Ordered with Canton, side assists, area view and got them all + everything else I ordered.

in 2018/2019 I wasn't that lucky. Ordered a Sportline 2.0TSI again in the beginning of sept and the car got delivered in April. So, waited for 7 months - and no chip crisis at that time.  It seems that the higher the spec, the faster it will be delivered.

Really happy that I upgraded. Wireless carplay is awesome!

Another thing I wanted to mention was that just before me, a guy got his Sportline which he ordered in May. So not all is lost for those who have been waiting for a looooooong time.

Maybe the old orders are not profitable enough, certainly less profitable than more recent orders at a higher price, so they just keep being pushed back, with someone hoping they will get cancelled.  But no one wants to admit this, and easier to say still awaiting a build date.  Could still be in same position in 6 months time (and if look back 6 months, with hindsight, same position then).

Logically anyone delayed multiple times is already upset, so pushing it back further is less worse option than delaying someone else’s car and upsetting them as well.

This piecemeal sliding of dates seem to be norm with some dealers, saying March-April keeps customer placid because they are too scared to say might be Autumn or 2023 which might be nearer the truth in some cases.
