Hi all, my new Kodiaq was finally delivered this morning after a 13 month wait!

Very happy with it so far, it's great!

I hope everyone else who has been waiting for so long, gets theirs very soon too.

Think how much happier you’d have been if it had been delivered in 3 months or less.

  • Well, after a 7 month wait, I picked up my Sportline facelift today. All options present, including Canton, and the electric child locks with the family pack.

I was tired of waiting my Kodiaq (5months now, without any info), and the latest info delivery date - unknown. That was it for me, I ordered Volvo XC60, will be in my hands in 10 days...

In fairness the horror stories of Volvo waits are pretty epic. That seems a very very very lucky scenario. Got my kodiaq in 5 months which was faster than expected. I know someone waiting for a new xc40 quoted over a year and that’s if you are lucky.

car arrived today 11am not had much time behind the wheel get q play and try figure out what all the buttons do over the weekend.

Had an update today on my June 2021 order. Didn't have a build week when I check a few weeks ago, but apparently it's now built.
The email doesn't fill me with confidence though 🤣🤣😭

Good Afternoon,

Great news!  Your brand-new Polo has now been built and is in transit from the factory (approx. 6 weeks)

What happens next?

  • Shipping to the UK – your car is made in the Czech Republic hence why the transit process takes around 4-6 weeks
  • Arrival at UK port/process through the import/customs centre.
  • Transport to the PDI centre
  • Allocation of your registration number.

It's shrunk!

That reads like a Motorfinity email 😅

We ordered a replacement Sportline in May got a phone call to say it’s landed in Newcastle and waiting for a transporter to bring it cross country!

My order from early October 2021 is now at the showroom getting ready for handover. it's confirmed as MY 23. Will pick up Saturday or Monday. Pics to follow. Hang in there everyone!

collecting on Monday. Getting ceramic coat today 11.5 months wait but worth it :)

At long last I finally got the communication Ive been waiting for since March 2021 (do I have the record?), my Kodiaq will be delivered next Weds.

Its been a tortuous wait, but will be forgotten once its in my possession. And the pay off is a significantly lower monthly lease than what the current market is offering (approx £100p/m lower).

Wow, I thought I'd won but you have a couple of weeks on me!

It will soon be forgotten, the car is fabulous.

Has anyone had one delivered with the new standard 8.0” screen instead of dials in the dash?

Ye see took delivery of ours on Saturday I can get pictures of the three different modes if you like but the two displays on left and right if the speed shown in the picture. It’s not a bad alternative to the virtual cockpit (we ordered ours pre MY23 without VC)

Yes we took delivery of ours on Saturday I can get pictures of the three different modes if you like but the two displays on left and right of the speed shown in the picture can be configured to show different things (driving data, audio, nav instructions (not maps) compass etc etc. It’s not a bad alternative to the virtual cockpit (we ordered ours pre MY23 without VC)

That's really not far off VC at all - if I'd know that was coming/my car was going to take so long I'd probably not have paid the extra for VC!

That doesn’t look bad at all, looks much better there than it does on the Skoda website!

I have a VC in my current Octavia and only ever have it on the setting which replicates dials and never use the map screen etc so this set up will be fine!

I have a Mk8 Golf with the VC equivalent annd aI’m the same. When we ordered the wife’s Kodiaq she was adamant she just wanted plain dials. When she found out it was the VC lite version she was disappointed but now she’s seen it she quite likes it especially the fact she can have the speed front and centre and her turn directions from the Nav on the side screen.

I also agree I don’t think the website does it justice it’s much better in the flesh

Can you only display one piece of additional info each side of centre display?

Yes there are quite a few different things you can show on the left and right but only one thing at a time. I’ll get some photos when I’m next in the car

Cheers.  The reason for my question was could the old analogue dials with small LCD have displayed more info to the driver than the new cockpit?

I have my VC set up to look like yours albeit with map in centre then three info items on the left and 3 info items on the right ( Seems pointless having a rev counter on a car eqipped with DSG ). I want for nothing else from a display but must admit I'd seriously question forking out £400 on a VC today.  If it took the car to over £40k tax threashold I defo wouldn't option a VC.

No the old digital section between the dials  definitely doesn’t have more info. I always thought it was quite limited what it did show the new dash is better but you can’t have maps up like you can on VC if that’s what you’d hoped?

These are the options I have.

The new 8” standard screen won’t display map I don’t think or be as customisable as the VC. On my VC I have my music in one dial and route guidance in the other. With the map in the middle. I’d say it’s easily worth £400 and is probably the favourite toy I’ve had in a car yet. You can navigate far more easily and it just makes the cockpit look really modern.

That’s the full size VC though not the VC lite or whatever the now standard digital dials are called. Still not been back in the car since!!!
