Anyone else ordered a new Kodiaq?

Hi,

I had a Superb MkIII from 2016-19 and am currently on a less practical but more luxurious Volvo V90 on an extended lease / 28 day notice hand-back until March 2024. I need a 7-seater and am tired with the V90s 4.93m length which is a PITA for London parking and car parks in general. The Kodiaq fits the bill and would probably go for a Sportline trim. Still debating which engine to go for. The Superb's 150Tdi was frugal but rough over 70mph and I have enjoyed the V90s 190bhp 2l turbo petrol. I think the Superb's 150Tsi will probs be OK and I haven't heard about it being rough in the 70-80mph zone. I don't tow so torque isn't an issue and don't need 4WD in central London.

I am surprised to hear about the extended delays for Kodiaq factory orders. What's the rule of thumb these days?

Cheers,

DT

I ordered in November and last Monday (5th) I popped in to dealer and asked for my order number and a Build week.

Salesman showed me his screen with my order details, but no Build week yet. Status is P - planned.

When factory decide to process the order - SEL with several extras - status will change to Build week.

But things can change constantly, as we found with our new Polo moving from November Build week to Week 4 in January.

I’m expecting my Kodiaq in summer 2023. Sometime. Anytime.

Current car lease will be extended till new one arrives.

  • Well, after a 7 month wait, I picked up my Sportline facelift today. All options present, including Canton, and the electric child locks with the family pack.

I got an update from my dealer yesterday.  There is still no build week for my vehicle but they did say that they are getting more updates each week about build weeks being allocated for vehicles and they are confident that they should have a build week for mine soon.

Just been quoted a 32 week factory order wait for new instructions from one main dealer - OK so that's better than last year but....jesus!

Oh blimey. Still waiting for my build week to be confirmed

On the 16th of December I was told that my Kodiaq had been built and was waiting in a port in Germany. No idea if it is still there.....

I know 🤪 I ordered the L&K in July. So should be able to pick it up sometime in January.

6 months - not too bad, really. L&K - lovely! I went for a specced up sportline

I ordered early July. My build week was apparently wc 28th Nov, last update was 20th Dec, built and in transit from factory to dealer, no idea if it was waiting for a boat or already in country at that point, but guess I only have another week or 2 to wait

Nice. When I was thinking of what to get it was either the L&K or the Sportline.

Went with the following options:

Driver alert

Electronic folding tow bar

Travel Assist

Family pack

USB-C by rear view mirror

I might get mine just before yours....

Dealer has just told me the next Kodiaq build week should be week 7, so hopefully a month or so after that; depends how long it takes to get built and shipped to UK

No, nothing yet, but i dont have contact with the dealer, it's a lease through fleetprices, intend to chase them this week as i need to arrange return of my current Octavia with BCA

Hi all, today I have ordered a new Sportline 1.5TSI DSG in Meteaor Grey, apparently it’s a cancelled order and will be ready to collect this month. Pretty happy with it looking forward to getting a Kodiaq again, I had a 18plate Edition 190 diesel, DSG 4x4 which was amazing.

The only thing I’m slightly concerned about is the smaller engine pulling our caravan. But we don’t go that often so for the odd occasion here and there I’m hoping it will be fine.

Apparently latest cars that don’t have factory fit tow bar, or tow bar prep may not be able have tow bar retrofitted.

Yeah thankfully this one has the electric folding tow bar already. He did mention that when something is attached the Kodiaq then automatically adjusts the car setup to suit towing. Not quite sure what it does, maybe turns off the rear sensors and maybe changes the gearing slightly.

Hi all just wanted people to know, I’m going to be cancelling this order in the next day or so. If anyone is interested in trying to get this car please message me I can put you in touch with the Skoda dealer. My situation has now changed since I ordered.

Got a message today from the dealer saying that mine will be arriving with them tomorrow. Not sure how long it will take after that.

I got final paperwork for my lease last week, stating expected registration date of 31st Jan, so not long for me now either

According to German website that has estimated times of all group cars

https://www.marnet-mobility.de/aktuelle-lieferzeiten.html

Kodiaq has jumped to 11 months wait (+ extra 1-2 months for some options), allowing 1 month for delivery and PDI suggests new orders now ready Feb 2024 - April 2024

Wow that’s mental

Update from my broker yesterday, car is allegedly still in transit, next update expected 7th Feb. Think i'll ask if it's possible to delay registration to March to get a 23 plate in that case

I am collecting mine tomorrow.

Hello!!! I've ordered mine on February 22...and I think that will be ready on week 8...as the seller told me this week...12 month wait period... 😇

I will try to confirm that, next week...🤞🤞🤞

Regards!!!
