Which aftermarket SatNav?

Featured Replies

Hi,

I've just brought a 2010 Skoda Superb and unfortunately the SatNav isn't picking up any satellites. This isn't a problem with the aerial, which was tested and I also purchased an external aerial just to be 100% sure.

So I would like to replace it with an aftermarket one but don't really want to lose any of the standard Skoda SatNav features. I've been using Waze on my phone for a number of years and so really like the idea of having that able to be added or mirrored from my phone. The ability to Stream music would also be useful.

I've been looking at the ones from Xtrons which seem to be recommended.

I would really appreciate any help or suggestions or even pointers to another post where this has been discussed recently.

Many thanks.

He might be able to (help you) fix your existing unit.

Cheers chimaera,

Mike, it's not unusual for a satelite lock failure, but sometimes it's a simple fix/replacement of the radio board. If you wanna send me your unit I'll diagnose it and give you an idea of what's up on a no fix no fee basis. All it'll cost you is postage to North Yorks (or drop it in if you're close by).

Hi @Rustynuts

That's really kind of you and would be very much appreciated.

We are currently away at the moment but I will send it to you when I'm back.

Could you please let me have your address.

Thanks
