RCD330 Plus upgrade

Featured Replies

Hi all,

Need your help please.

1. Can't seem to find the Skoda name/model for the OEM RCD330 Plus (I want the Skoda green lighting).

2. Where can I buy the OEM one?

All I find is these noname options..

For me this is great combination of sound quality, Android Auto, OEM smooth look, price and plug&play ability.

Would appreciate the help!

Thanks 🙂

A quick Google search throws up a few problems for you here:

1. RCD330+ is an MIB unit, which is not going to be compatible with the electrical architecture in your car

2. It's not available in a Skoda version AFAICT

That said, there's a user (@pab567) who has worked out how to fit an MIB Amundsen in the Superb 2 which is of a similar generation to the Fabia 2 electrically and may be able to help you with this.

Are you sure?

From my understanding the RCD330 Plus is a direct swap - even same connector.

I’m not sure why you want the Plus, think unread somewhere it’s not as good or whatever. The noname RCD330s are decent. I’ve got the VW one with red lighting but here is one with the green lighting if you’re interested (RCD330):

Thanks

There are several reasons why I want the Plus

Sounds better

Linux instead of WinCE

And most importantly - it supports Android Auto

The noname RCD330 has android auto and runs on Linux too so it can be updated
