Four months update Sel 1.5 Karoq.

Featured Replies

Now had my Karoq for four months. No rattles, no squeaks and brilliant to drive. Had a stiff boot door when hot weather, Lithium spray on hinges, Silicone spray on the struts sorted.  Juddering wipers, cleaned the windscreen treated with rain x, cleaned the wipers with bath cleaner treated with rain x, sorted. Dash cam, didn't want to use the 12v socket ( live all the time) bought a mini usb to usb cable and a usb to usb c adapter, works off the ignition perfect. Really pleased with my car, after ten Hondas the Skoda has impressed me! Minor niggles but easily sorted. As it stands no regrets buying my 21 plate Karoq.

RainX is great in the beginning, but is a massive pain when it goes smeary after a while, nigh on ruins the windscreen.

I’ll have an SEL delivered in a month or so, if I get the juddery wipers, I’ll just put aerotwins on.

Interested to know when it was ordered...

Ours ordered on 26th Feb, is still nowhere to be seen, and with no date as to when it might arrive either.

First saw it online as a new car in stock, went to have a look the following week! When we spoke to the salesman he told me they had just pre registered it, bought it picked it up the following week eight miles on the clock 15 days registered and £5000. Off list, colour I wanted built in October last year.

Indeed, delayed by lack of semi conductors.

We are due to go to France at the beginning of Sept for 2 weeks. Our dealer is lending us a ‘fleet’ car, and arranging adequate insurance cover for driving in Europe as they cannot guarantee our car will be here in time.

Hmm..

My build week was 22 (the end of May)!

Hate to dissappoint, but you may be waiting a bit more than 6-8 weeks.

Ordered early May build slot week July 14th. As of today still not built and no committed date on when.  Not in a rush luckily.

Regarding the juddering windscreen wipers, the rear wiper on our Karoq SE-L was very juddery. I have just changed it to a brand new Bosch rear wiper blade (Bosch model number A331H), and that fixed the problem instantly. I wish I had changed it sooner.

I have just picked up a 19 plate Karoq 1.5 4 x 4 with only 8k miles. It too has juddering wipers - front & back. I've just ordered some Bosch Aero wipers. Hopefully this will fix the issue. In mean time I think a good wash & perhaps some clay bar on the glass might be in order. I'll also be playing with a dash cam tomorrow.

Pick my Karoq up tomorrow  (did I mention that!!) - build week 33 and have some new Bosch blades at the ready, just in case!!!

White vinegar cleans road film off of glass very well.
