What type of tyres are fitted as standard on Enyaq

Featured Replies

Is anybody able to confirm what type of tyre is fitted as standard on either the Enyaq 60 or Enyaq 80?

Are they summer tyres or All Season tyres?

In the UK brochure which I downloaded, it indicated that both Enyaq 60 and Enyaq 80 have 235/55 R19 101T tyres, but it shows the Enyaq 80 as having tyres “with seal technology”. Do you really only get the self-sealing tyres with the Enyaq 80 model, even though both models use the same size of 19” tyres as standard (albeit with different style of alloy wheel)?

My sons Enyaq 60 has Hankook ventus prime summer tyres fitted.

My Kodiaq has Pirelli Scorpion seal inside tyres and these are summer tyres also.

As far as I know no Skoda models come with All Season tyres fitted.

I think we all know what we want fitted if buying All Seasons or All Weather tyres.

Well they do not have All Season as in they are going to be on all year and in All Weathers unless you change them,

They are not CrossClimate type with Summer Bias but 3 peak tyres / winter certified.

Then they are not 'All Terrain',

but VW Group happily call Models SUV's  regardless of FWD or AWD  & with ICE ones will fit stuff like Bridgestone Duellers which are pretty crap as soon as there is moisture on roads, and as far as venturing onto a area with just mowed grass then they show what a poor choice they are for OEM.

But what are fitted are All Season as the come to the UK, Summer Tyres that many might have on all year and performing poorly in the cold / snow.

Skoda did show a 'All Season Option' on Octavia's a few years back. 2017

The use of words / terms seemed to get lost in translation.

When i am being called an Idiot i am one that has 'All Weather' or Winter tyres on my cars all year round, through all the seasons.

See post by @ARWENon 27th Jan 2017.

Then 14th Jan 2018.

Anyone that paid for the All Season / All Weather option back then can maybe say what tyres their car did come with fitted.

It looks like 235/55/R19 tyres are available with a load rating of 101 or above (eg. 105) in All Season style from most of the major tyre manufacturers. For example Goodyear Vector 4 Seasons, Continental AllSeasonContact, Michelin CrossClimate2, Vredestein Quatrac Pro, Nokian SeasonProof, Pirelli Scorpion Verde AllSeason, Bridgestone Weather Control.

I’m considering getting an Enyaq. On our current Karoq, the choice of All Season tyres was very limited, due to the Karoq wheels on the SE-L trim level using a rather non-standard tyre size (215/50/R18). Things look much better for the standard 19” tyre size used on the Enyaq, in terms of All Season tyre availability.

The Bridgestone Weather Control tyres in Enyaq 19” size are also available with sealing option, which gives a bit of added security.

The Pirelli Scorpion Verde Zero tyres in Enyaq 19” size are also available in runflat version, but I presume that these cannot be used on the Enyaq because runflats are not an original Skoda option on the Enyaq?

From what I've seen, all MEB platform cars come with one of several brands of summer tyres. AFAIK these are:-

  • Hankook Ventus S1 Evo
  • Continental Eco-Contact
  • Pirelli Scorpian Verde
  • Bridgestone Dueller

Please can you confirm what you mean by the above? On my Karoq, I fitted Vredestein Quatrac Pro tyres, which have the snowflake / 3 peaks symbol on them. So I assumed that they are indeed suitable for driving in snow (although we haven’t actually had any heavy snow in my region in the past two years, for me to really test them).

What i mean is we know if we select tyre types but VW group / Skoda use terms that tyre suppliers and us might not use.  We know what we want and if 3 peak markings.    VW Group / Skoda UK know damn well many will be driving company cars or leased cars in the UK and not want to change tyres for suitable in winter but they import cars on Summer tyres.   Not even offering a low cost upgrade option that other manufacturers do.

Is that something that has been offered in recent years by other manufacturers? I've never had a new car in the UK come with anything other than 'summer' tyres. I know in other countries they would offer a winter set - but that was usually another set of steelies and winter tyres.

We run Qualtracs on both our cars at the moment (well car and T5). We live just over the usual local snowline (~250m), so get a fair bit of marginal snow (the kind that is only a few cm deep but once its driven on its deadly!). They are good in the snow and cold but I think they are a fair bit noisier than summer tyres. Not sure I'll fit them to the Enyaq when it needs it, we can keep the T5 as our winter weather vehicle and have the quieter tyres on the car. Unless anyone else ends up running all seasons on the Enyaq and tells me they dont make too much noise :)

Vauxhall only charged £400 extra on cars with the Winter Pack that included 'All Season Tyres'.

Isuzu have the option of BFG Goodrich 'All-Terrains' or KM2's.

Option with the Vauxhall Combo Life MPV 5 or 7 seater or the Van.

Nine of the discussion here seems to address the question I’d ask:  does the Enyaq come with “standard” or with “EV” tyres?

See, for example,

They have tyres that the Manufacturers decided were suitable for OEM fitment like many other manufacturers fit.

It will be interesting to hear if anyone got one with EV on the Tyre Walls.

Michelin have Pilot Sport EV tyres.

My ID.4 came with EV tyres, Hankook Ventus S1 Evo 3 EV. Others come with the tyres I listed above which are also EV tyres. I see no reason why the same isn't true of the Enyaq.

If you go on Skoda configurator and save as pdf it gives a list of tyres, so it maybe random from this list.

MIne has Hankook Ventus EV tyres, but the 20 and 21 inch wheels come with self sealing tyres.

The 19 inch - also has seal tyre technology.

From configurator.

Tyres 235/55 R19 101T/EU in front, tyres 255/50
R19 103T/EU in rear, seal tyre technology front and
rear.

  • 1 year later...

There are Vredestein Quatrac Pro EV,s available,

i just went with the non EV ones on my MINI Electric as the GoodYear F1 tyres were just hopeless in the wet.

If needs must and this is a snowy winter then snow tyres will go on & onto 16" rims not 17's.
