I've had a search on here and not found an index of Skoda (most likely VAG) independent specialist dealers.

As I move out of warranty, I'm thinking about looking outside the official Skoda dealer network for servicing. (Mainly for convenience.)

It would be handy if there was an index of independent Skoda specialist on Briskoda, so we can avoid the duff ones and reward the good ones with more custom.

 

One fairly local independent to me is http://www.autovolks.com/

Anyone used them and have some positive or negative feedback on them?

There is a section dedicated to dealers called Skoda Dealer Reviews on the Forum list. Look at that. May include non-franchised reviews and independent reviews

I did look at that, but it's specifically for Skoda dealers. I haven't seen any entries for independents. Hence the new thread.

If you have spotted any in there, give me a shout.

I think leaving it here will be attract a greater audience.

Autotecnic - Audi | BMW | Mercedes | Seat | Skoda | VW | Specialists Sheffield - near Meadowhall bus/tram interchange. I've used them for all my Skodas once they were out of warranty.

Are they based in the units where Ginetta used to be?

Do any forum members know of Independent VAG dealers in the Manchester/Stockport area or further afield in the North West please?

 

I have found https://www.vwworlduk.co.uk/ so far but don't have any independent reviews on the place so far.

Any near or in the Bradford area? Not sure I want to take my car to the local dealers for an oil change.

Well I tried AutoVolks Solihull, and found them very good, both friendly and helpful.

They did everything they said they'd do, at the price they said they'd do it for, and by the time they said they'd have it done.

Their workshop is small but organised and they seem very busy and have a lead time of 2-3 weeks for work. Very sound, down-to-earth people.

I will definitely be using them again.

Any reliable/decent/honest/fair priced independents in or near South West London?

 

Any recommendations or suggestions gratefully received.
