Mudflaps!

Featured Replies

With the arrival of my car this/week next, just wondered which mudflaps I will need for the vRS?

I have seen some on superskoda, or best just to get them from the local dealer - which is Hortons for me.

I also have them from Kopacek (ex Superskoda). But in Slovenia the price is almost the same as at the dealers.

Ah....this sort of answers a question I had - I was originally looking at the Maxton kit but then thought I wouldn't be able to fit it with the mudflaps so had almost given up on that idea.

Did you modify the mudflaps or the sideskirts? Some close up photos would be nice if you'd be so kind (also interested in how you found the fitment for the lip as when I looked under mine I see it's all covered in by an undertray - any photos/advice would be much appreciated!)

So I thought it best to modify the mud flaps as they are cheap..I had the kit fitted by a local bodyshop he said the rear and side skirts were simple glue and screw but there was a bit more fiddling around with lip but glue and screwed  also and no problem with fit around undertray it can still screw off for servicing 👍 my advice get someone that is a professional body fitter to do it cheers 🍻

Stupid question. Can you easily remove mudflaps during summer  season?

The only stupid questions are the ones that aren't asked! 😄

I don't see why not, they're easy enough to fit so the reverse should apply.

I didn't have any issues removing them. Didn't even need to remove the wheels.

Yes, it's even easier if you install/remove mudflaps when changing summer/winter wheels setup.
