E10 fuel and 2013 Mk 2 Skoda Fabia VRS?

It certainly has me confused.

To date I have tried always to use 99 RON Shell or Tesco to fill up - I get an overall 40 MPG.  I know that the price of petrol is rocketing; I don't know if this is in any way connected with the new fuel.

Anyone have an answer to whether E10 is safe to use in my car

Word is that everything from 2011 is absolutely fine.

Yes your car can run on E10 as it is pointed out that all since 2011 had to be able to.   There are threads in the General Chat section.    A twin chargers is recommended to run on Super Unleaded 98 by VW Group, but it has been 97 or 99 Ron min super unleaded in the UK for years now and no 98 Super as shown on the filler flap.     Esso super unleaded E5 in the UK does not have Ethanol in it for some UK areas.     I loved ethanol. If I could run pure ethanol I would.   Love Tesco Momentum 99 E5,. Worth every penny, and it is not many pennies a litre more than Tesco 95 Ron E10, not even £2.50. Tank fill extra.

From reading the government website it's ok for most cars that don't use a first generation FSI engine.

For example I read on there that some mk5 golf can't use it.

If in doubt, I believe super unleaded doesn't have to be e10 currently (But don't hold me to this and check yourself), so perhaps use that until you are sure.

Mod hat on...

Perhaps worth using this existing thread:
