Those are both available wheel diameters in the UK.

You see ,we have the tire/rim size in the resistration (i dont know how you call it) document , if we have something diferent from that fited in the car, we ricieve a ticket. In the past we had to pay the dealer for a document that aproved the rim size in our car and then get a new resistration (witch we have to pay) . But now the dealer is denyingthose documents and since 2015 there are 2 companies that have engeniers (lol) that can approve if you car can fit the wheels you want ( you have to pay and is not cheap)  only in my country 😵 ......

Ar... Nonsense law... We have also some silly ones in France too... 🙄

Open ur fuel flap cover - it clearly shows wat rim sizes the car can come with from factory.

Show them that.....

The document that you are referring to is the EU Certificate of conformity, you can apply direct to VAG for it and they are free of charge.

Mine lists all the wheel & tyre combinations that are type approved for the vehicle, it does correspond with the fuel tank flap sticker but that is a universal one for the model and cannot be taken as a definitive document as your vehicle might only be homologated for certain sizes.

It would however be very convenient at a roadside check.

I was refering to the registration certificate (of my country)

OK, this is a question of law in your country, where your ownership document (which is called a V5 in UK) shows wheel size, and if you want to change them, you have to get car certified and document reissued with new size.

It is not a question of are bigger rims available.

I think in UK you only have to have the registration form changed (and an inspection) if you change L3 wheel plan (someone will probably correct me on this) or other specific types of modifications.

What is the law for winter tyres? I am thinking of fitting smaller wheels (currently on 19") for winter. I have yet to find it, although I have not spent lots of time looking for it.

Do the Superbs that have 18> wheel have to be equipped with a specific type of suspension or other part that i don´t have  ?

I trried to configure a new Superb here in France on the Skoda websire, and 19" wheels were not available.

Yes; other notifiable modifications probably refer to things like change of engine, change of suspension medium (but going from multi-leaf to parabolic springs using the same shackle points and axle perches is a change of medium within the meaning of the relevant legislation).

@Camarao69'just do it' unless your insurance will not provide cover or your law stops you you modifying from factory fitment because of the emission figures for the Road Tax in your country.   Skoda dealership staff or customer service have a default mode of saying 'no'.

And I am referring to the document that you seek to prove that 19" wheels may be used on your vehicle.

OK  Thank you

I think in none of those certificates  refer to the wheels sizes  correct '

I have just checked. L&K do have the option of 19" wheels, as does sportline and Scout. I had checked Style before, as that is what I have.

20210902_140852.jpg

Order the fuel filler sticker from the other poster above that had 18'' and 19'' inch listed.

Part number:-  3V0. 010 000 AP

Then stick that in your cars fuel filler cover.

Thanks, AG Falco

Brilliant, absolutely brilliant!

There's a new law, that simply requires to have winter tyres on 4 wheels or to have snow chains (only for Drive wheels) in your boot from... let's say 11/15th to 3/15th (to be verified, I give these dates just on the top of my head) if you live (or even just drive thru) in specific departments know for snowy winters (French Alps, Pyrenees, Massif Central, Jura, Alsace...)

I also have 19" wheels and bought 17" wheels for winter tyres. Nothing to complain about.
