Hello and welcome.

Engine code would help, look on the build codes sticker in the boot, or service book.

I'll try to find without, but always easier with.

the engine code is CFHF for the yeti

This looks like it here, I think. If it only has a single wire connection, that's almost sure to be the oil pressure switch:

🙂, thanks for your advise on the location for the oil pressure switch. i have found it so all is well so far, just got to put all the pipe work back on now as it up on the passenger side bulk head.

That photo will be very usefull for the next time I remove the upper cam belt cover for an inspection, I knew that it was hanging up on something at the rear and its a leap of faith with these things working blind to deduce how hard you need to pull to release a sprung fixing or that you have missed something and are likely to break it.

It looks like it may need pushing backwards to release although I have probably now broken that part off!!!

If it is a 140bhp  model then it MUST be a 4x4.
All 140, 150 and 170 models were 4x4's. Only the 110bhp was available as either a 2 wheel drive or a 4 wheel drive.

Most Yetis that I follow on the road don't have a 4x4 badge, assuming it has not been removed then what engines would they have aside from the 110HP?

My 4x4 was 110hp, I think its actually 108hp & feels much less than that, it should never have been combined with the 4x4 transmission IMO as it makes it even more underpowered.

Past tense used as I have had it remapped.

They may have started life as 4x4,  I wonder how many still are after inadequate Haldex servicing 😯
