What do I do?

Featured Replies

I stuck deciding what I should do and need help deciding. I have two options

remap my octavia vrs dsg 2014 to stage three which I think I can do well, for under £7k? Or spend that money on an upgrade and sell my car for 14k-16k.

I don’t want anything older than 2014, so that would leave me with cla 45, m3, s5, s6, s7 (possibly).

I love my octavia, just not fast enough, also downside is it’s FWD. I think it’s currently as quick as most i mentioned from 30-100. As I don’t care about 0-60 just 30-100mph. What’s my best option? Do you think a remap stage 3 is what I need?

Welcome to the forum.

I would sell your car for good money that is available and buy a fast car that might be sitting not selling now as not much in demand.

There are plenty about.

Maybe you will even get a good price with a trade in for some trader sitting with an actual quick car they want moved on.

Thanks for your reply, I’ve been doing a lot of research and spoken to a couple of people. Think I’m gonna revo stage 3 and get the performance I want. As it’s incredibly rare I drive fast 0-30.

looking at this blog they claim around 9 seconds 100-200kph

which is on par with a lot of super cars.
Times I found here:

I don’t think I can afford anything in the 9 second bracket or higher any other way. So gonna see how it goes :) just brought myself a valance v2 diffuser and a splitter to go with it. Will eventually post my car mods on the forum depending on how well it goes

Reading the post and GBP I assumed you were in the UK.  Where are you needing the 30-100 mph acceleration?     Best look in the Octavia Project section. Plenty members have built quick Octavia.

Well maybe not always 30-100mph haha but yea I’m from the UK. I would never speed in a 30 as that’s just dangerous to pedestrians. Which leaves speeding up when merging into motorways, hitting country roads and over taking. Which I’m already at 30 miles an hour for, but not looking to pull up at traffic lights and have a race, would happen extremely rarely where I live anyway due to it being rural. So I honestly never need to get from 0-30 quickly. So I am happy with something that’s quick everywhere else. Don’t think I’m gonna be driving over 100, so basically I want a car that can drive quick 30-100 incase I want too.  Do you know of any cars that can do this that would be cheaper than what I have suggested and still newer than 2014 and not losing on specs? As my octavia seems to have more than most of the ones I looked at for the same age.

Also thank you. Will look at the project section tonight.

Till recently a 2015 BMW 335d x-Drive could have been found at 'much cheapness' for what they are.

My son traded one in earlier this year.

Now with silly asking / selling prices matters have changed.
