Travel Assist - Steering Wheel button

Featured Replies

Hi, sorry another issue I am wrestling with (along with ACC not working properly) I don't get anything when I press the Travel Assist Button on the steering wheel, the one circled in Red in the photo. Does anyone know what is meant to happen when you press it? I.E what is displayed on the dash or what changes? Nothing at all happens when i press it whether the ACC is on and functioning, paused or off, the button sadly does absolutely nothing! I am sure it used to before I had the hardware fix for the SOS fault and when my ACC worked correctly, the manual does not really say what happens exept it turns the ACC on......

I understand it uses ACC and Lane Assist but adds in speed limit (road sign) awareness so automatically sets the cruise control. Don't have it on my car but sounds like a nice option...

Found this in the e-manual...

Maybe when the h/w fix was installed the Travel Assist needed to be re-enabled.

I have this option on mine.  You should get a  notification sweeping in from the left saying travel assist is activated.  You need ACC set to on, but not necessarily active. The two lights on the lower right for lane assist and ACC become a single icon.

Same problem, did you solve the problem?

One question - do you have ACC enabled? Behind the steering wheel there's a lever for ACC. You need to pull it to switch ACC on.

If it's on, than check what is shwoing on the dashboard. Might be, that for some reason someone changed mode to limiter instead of ACC.

Yes, there is ACC and it is activated. I checked it, but when I press the button, nothing happens, not even a message as if the button is not activated or not available 😢

Hello,

anybody figured this out? Had the car a little over a week and the button just does nothing…

It works on my car.  It automatically steers the car to keep it in lane.

It turns off when you tap the brakes. It suspends its operation if you use the indicators, i.e. to change lane.

It is gentle enough so that if you apply a bit more steering input it will override the automatic steering.

I do not use it much. In fact it is more of a novelty. It is not hard to steer a car yourself to keep it in lane.

But you also have to have the ACC enabled I guess? If you don't, I guess the button itself doesn't do anything since you have to manually move the ACC stalk into position.

Here is a screen shot from the manual @MrOlympic if it helps.

Ahhh sorry. I see now it's already posted above. 😞

I have travel assist. You don't need anything 'enabled' as soon as you press the travel assist button it will over ride any previous settings you have selected automatically (turns traction control and lane assist on for example)

I’ve tried with the ACC on and off, doesn’t do anything. Will try what Wonderloaf suggested

Even if ACC stalk is in off position? The small one under the turn signal stalk?

Yup, tried all sorts… stationary; driving at 30mph, driving at 70mph…

Sorry, I'm asking Wonderloaf. :) I don't have travel assist. Just interested in how does it work.

If you click that physically forward it does stop the travel assist working.

That's what I thought. Thank you for confirming.

I have the button on my car, but I don't have Travel Assist, I checked against the build specification from the dealer. Mine is a 2020 car as well, so it may be you like me have the button but not the capability, it was odd as cars without Travel Assist usually didn't have the button. Another Skoda 'quirk' I guess.

Hmm, mines a 2021, but ex demo… I’m having issues with Skoda connect, it’s going in for an update next month, is it possible to buy and upgrades in the shop? Like PACC? Or travel assist?
