AC activation

Featured Replies

Hi guys I have a little question for you which is sort of puzzling me when I turn the heater system on and obviously it will  run from let's say 17 to 26 27 c to maximum or high as it is on the actual LED ring on the switch why does the AC light come on even though I've got the temperature at High but I have noticed if I press the recycle button which I presume stops air from coming inside even on the coldest days the light goes off what am I missing please explain it is obviously something to do with that recycle button which stops air from outside

Not sure on the recirc setting but ac isn't just for cooling. It conditions the air for whatever you need/want. I can only assume that the air con unit is outside of the recirc loop so isn't used in that setting.

That's exactly what the recirculate (not recycle) button does.

Air conditioning does more than just chill intake air. It also aims for a relative humidity of about 70%, and may heat and/or chill, or both the intake to obtain your demand temperature at RH 70. It can't do this in recirc mode.

Agree with @KenONeill the AC cannot recool its own intake on recycle otherwise you would be freezing on the condenser and everything would stop.  That's why the AC clicks out at that point.  Climatronic is quite clever in that sense.
