Featured Replies

Hi all, looking for badges for my Octavia 3 f/l. Does anyone know wot the difference is between “Black magic” and “Monte Carlo” as I can’t seem to find “Black magic” badges/emblems.

Black Magic is the name of a colour; Monte Carlo is a trim level.

Why then can I find Monte Carlo Black Skoda badge and also Crystal Black? It’s described as a colour I’m confused lol

Where, exactly, are you finding these descriptions?

In other words, not a Skoda dealer, so they can call the badge colour schwartzweiss (blackwhite) with equally much or little meaning.

Because 'Monte Carlo' trim cars come with more black trim and Kopacek are playing off that association, even though I don't think any Monte Carlo trim cars have actual black badges. I don't think Skoda have ever officially sold black badges as 'Monte Carlo' be that on the car or as an aftersales product.

They're just gloss black resprayed badges, much the same as the rest of their range of resprayed badges.

They won't match 'Black Magic' completely as they're not metallic. Crystal Black is metallic but a different shade to Black Magic, so again, not a complete match.

They're probably the closest thing you'll find to what you want unless you paint your own badges up.

Edit - actually my memory may be failing me, I think what Kopacek sell as 'Monte Carlo' are metallic and are probably Black Magic - a quick email to ask them should confirm.
