Octavia - continental beam converters

Featured Replies

I'm thinking of taking a day trip to France/Belgium, so I'll need a set of headlamp beam converters.

According to Skoda's website, pukka converters for the Octavia are

Hi Mike,

If you look at the downloads section under how-to's on this site you will find just what you are looking for, well as long as you dont have xenon lights that is. The instructions are for LHD so dont forget to reverse the image for RHD.

Been there done that! They are a complete nightmare as there are no markings on the lense to line up with if you use an off the shelf kit. I just aim it at the garage door and then "bend" the beam by the cunning application of tank tape or if I'm feeling flush I use a kit from Halfords at about

Here in Cornwall we see a lot of European visiting motorists' cars.

True - but how often have you been dazzled by their lights?? My suspicion is that RHD cars have a flat dipped beam, so do not need converters. Perhaps it's only us Brits with the raised dipped beam to light up the pavements to spot kids and drunken pedestrians who need a conversion kit?
