That in RHD would look good on a Black Magic car, and maybe on a Race Green pr a red one.

There aren't any RHD headlights left, they never make many because the global market is so small.

Tell me about it. They're like hen's teeth, I can often find one but not the other, being New-Old Stock.

Correcting idiocy.

The car is too old now for another production run, best bet is to try and find them secondhand or in breakers since most modified motors end up broken for spares largely due to their owners driving ambitions exceeding their actual ability.

Very true. Especially if wanting to stay OEM-ish too. :)

Car Parts 4 Less have both sides in stock, £72.10 each and currently 19% discount on top so £58.40 each.

I brought a pair from CP4L a year ago and they are great.

Why buy 2nd hand rubbish if you can get brand new for less than £60 ?

Thank you so much. :)

Euro Car Parts are also still listing RHD left & right Mk1 Fabia headlights.

Hide the car in a garage and never use it. :giggle:

I kept polishing mine, but it's no good. Went for new units instead, so there's one way to find out if the fogging/yellowing is still an issue. :)

You can't get "anal eyes" in RHD any more dude, polishing gets rid of the fogging temporarily but they'll be fogged again by next autumn.

Think I managed a few months, but mine appear to be fogged beyond "proper" refurbishment and are getting worse already.

I fitted new ones on mine four years ago and the front of the car is often parked in direct sunlight for long periods in the summer and they haven't faded so far. I think all plastic headlight lenses will fade eventually, though. It's just the nature of them.

Here's a handy video for replacing them...

You will love the look of it when you get new ones on it. They look great all nice and clear and new. And they shine much better :)

It'll make it that one step closer towards "new motor" territory (it'll never be new without messing with the concept of the space/time continuum) and not the clapped out shed in your rear view mirror. :D

More detailed videos....

Don't forget that you don't get the levelling motors with new lamps, you have to swap the motors over to the new ones. So don't chuck your old lamps away before doing that :D

I hadn't forgotten since I've been reading up on this for a wee while, but I'll have to try and keep it in mind when these come (they're my birthday present from my Grampa) so I've got a wee while yet. :)

Cool. The motors are very easy to swap over :)

I changed mine over last year and found https://www.energizedcustoms.co.uk/

cheapest around. I notice their prices have gone up a bit but delivery is quick and free. Better than any of the second hand places who wanted close to the price energised charged and £10 for delivery. My reason for changing was that a "kind" person had hit the passenger on and I decided to change both as I'd have paid same to have it done under insurance. I can confirm that the motors are an easy swap . On mine I had to ensure that the ball on the motor engaged with the socket on the headlamp.

As per my post a few months ago I've still got a driver side headlamp going free to collect or arrange collection. I changed it to keep the pair matched. It passed MOT u till then with no advisories .

I don't think the OP has any designs on staying oemish lol based on the lights he is after.

Hi. Thanks for the informative comments. I'm going to try a headlight unit upgrade myself after having tried a home kit clean from Amazon and a garage clean over the last couple of years. Just wondering if there were any issues with realigning the new headlight units after they were fitted ? I watched the Hatboyharvey video and he seemed to make a big deal out of it. Since no one else has mentioned it i assumed this was just for H+S sake, and that it is straight forward to do ? Thanks in advance.

I replaced my units. Before removing the old ones I drove an appropriate distance (about 2m) from my Grampa's garage door, turned the headlights on, and marked the door with chalk where the beam met.

Once complete the job, the lights went back on and we're adjusted to meet the chalk markings. Haven't had a passing car flash me for the lights yet so they must be okay. Getting them checked before the MOT just to be sure though.

I did the same as AnnoyingPentium and never been flashed and had no problems on MOT.
