Regular service intervals 1.6 TDI 77kw

Featured Replies

Hi guys, does anyone have picture whre I can see service intervals based on km/time such as for example change brake fluid every 60 000km/2 years or change this filter after 30 000km/2 years ?

Thanks

Welcome.

This is what Skoda UK show for the fixed servicing  regime.

There is Pollen Filter each 2 years, then Air Filter whenever, but check both these and change as required or clean.

Fuel filter & Oil Filter.

Is it necessary to change dsg oil at all? Im currently on 78 000 miles and it was never changed same as cambelt and sparkplugs. Is it better to just check them if they need to be changed or change them anyway for precaution?

It is not necessary to change the oil in a DQ200 7 speed twin dry clutch DSG as fitted to a 1.6 TDI, there are no service schedule, guidelines or recommendations.

?

Was the car in since 2017 for Service Campaign '34H5' which is required on some from 2013-2015?

This is a software update done free.

Skoda UK recommend the cambelt is changed every 5 years along with the water pump.

It says it was not needed for my car so I should be good then I guess?

Yes but it would be a waste of money if the parts are still good and water pump never leaked anywhere right? Most people say that cambelt and water pump should change around 160-180k kilometers no mater the age while Skodas service stations in my country says that regular change on this is at 210k kilometers or when water pump leaks.

@KopsThat VIN checker can not be trusted for Service Campaigns or Recall Actions, it never showed '34H5' until the new Recall in Australia in 2019 and then some cars appeared and others did not.

But then if the DSG is OK 7 years on then fingers crossed and if Skoda never recalled and showed no Recall action when they should have you can get ripped unto them if there is a failure.

You can visually check the belt and it may appear ok, but you can't do the same for the tensioner as far as I know. That can fail. If Skoda in your country recommend changes at the figures you quoted then you've got nothing to worry about.
