Online Service History - How to

Featured Replies

Hi,

Hoping someone can help!

I recently purchase a 2015 Octavia VRS with full service history which the dealer confirmed with a short print out stating the date and millage of the services, however, it didn't detail precisely what was done in each service.

Can anyone advise as to how you can view the service history online (via Erwin)? I was told I was able to but I can't figure it out.

Thanks in advance,

Isaac

Welcome.

Someone will be along that can help hopefully.

?

Is it Main Dealer Servicing that was done?

A Full Service History would show a Full History of the Servicing.  That is what was done and what was not done.

That is what they should have provided if advertising the car with that.

A History showing Fixed or Variable services each Year / 2 Years or however many miles is not a Full Service History.

It will only ever show what the Dealership Employees actually put on the System and if at a Oil & Filter Service / Interim Service / Major - Inspection Service etc.

Is there nothing you received showing that the Brake Fluid was changed in 2018 or 2020 or 2021?

Pollen Filter in 2017 & 2019

Air Filter, AC Servicing,  DSG / Haldex Servicing if the car has those.

Thank you Roottoot for all the info. The cars had a service every year and the paperwork agrees with that, I'm just wondering if I can find more information on it.

I was told I could use Erwin and it was free but it's seems like you now have to pay.

Has anyone else used Erwin?

So the seller only provided a record of the car getting a Service every year.

If the have no more details of what was done then Full Service History is them stretching the Truth.

AFAIK erWin doesn't record the detail of each service, only the actual invoices give that detail.

Maybe the dealer(s) that did the service(s) can provide copy invoice(s)?

I've the app on my phone, but it only says the dates it's had a service. Doesn't say what was done.

erWin will state the type of service as well as additional items such as DSG Service, Haldex, Spark plugs and cabin filter. They can also add custom notes if need be, for example I done a DSG service + clutch pack recently so updated the online service history to state this.

When you login, click products and services, and select Digital Service Schedule. then you get this page, put in the VIN and then click

Open DSS as highlighted below, this will pop up a new window and the use the magnifying glass on the left to see what has been done

Thanks for that screenshot - it prompted me to check my access again to verify that I absolutely do not have the option, as I remember looking before - I was right, completely missing the option. Changed my registration from individual to company though and it is now present.

Thank you all for the comments.

With your guidance I've managed to access the DSS page in erwin.
