Tidal, CD sound, Master sound, Hi-Fi, Bluetooth and CarPlay

Featured Replies

Hello. everyone.

I have some questions about streaming music and what quality to expect.

I have had Spotify until now, as they will not have CD sound quality on their music. Tidal brags that they have it, so now I have Tidal. Tidal also has Hi-Fi Master sound which is perhaps closer to LP sound ...? At least much better than CD

.

But how do I get Master sound in the car? I can connect wirelessly with bluetooth, but then I read that the bandwidth of bluetooth is too poor to send over either CD and Master audio.
I can also connect to CarPlay, then with a cord in my Kodiaq. I am going to buy a Enyaq i august. Will it help anything with a cord to get master sound in the car? Enyaq has a connection to CarPlay cordless.
Do I need a special cord?
Do I need an adapter? DAC?

Carplay wireless is sent to the car by a WiFi connection, so the bandwidth is greater than Bluetooth streaming.

You can still use the cable option for carplay too.

Another option you could use is to have the audio files on a memory stick and plug that into one of the usb-c ports, but if you only stream, you are limited to the bandwidth of the WiFi connection, as well as your phone signal and the quality of the music on the app.
