Thanks

It couldn't be a virtual cockpit-only thing, surely?

I assume that the escalated bloke at Customer Services who has been doggedly* chasing this particular foible for five months knows what spec my car is? He's got the VIN number and its inside leg measurement, so I guess he should.

*Without wishing to cast nasturtiums I'm not sure I'd have said that five months with no resolution thus far is a particularly good example of doggedness, but there you go.

I wouldn't have thought so. I only mentioned that as the map is the last thing to sort itself out when the system starts up.

In fact, ask your dealer about whether TPI reference number 2063258/7 is potentially the solution to your map download issue.

This should update you to software version 0276 or later.

Just had my car in all day for its first service and reported two of the faults in the above tpi, quoted the tpi number and asked for them to do a software update, 3 pm email from garage, cannot reproduce and not logged in cars system, told them I had a picture taken this morning of the headlight switching, I was told no good and after a long conversation I just got, bring it in when it happens again, well that could be a never ending trip until it logs on the car system, gave up with the garage, phoned Skoda and that was another waste of a few minutes of my life, hence this is my first and last Skoda....
