Ash tray light - Is there one with the No Smokers Pack ?

Featured Replies

I had mine out today, theres a bulb there but no power cables to it

It wouldn't be something as simple as a local law in the country in which you car came from which prohibited smoking at night would it?

Dunno, I specced the No Smoking Pack, just thought it was strange that there was no light considering the bulb is there.

I agree, it's most odd!

Sorry to bring up an old thread, but does this mean that there should be a light in the ashtray/could be one fitted as standard, if you know what I mean? I only use it for coins and the like and it's never gonna get used as an ashtray while I own it so having a light in there would be very handy!

Anyone got one fitted, and I don't mean an afterthought, I mean a 'Skoda' one, as plausible as that might be.

Mine's got one as standard - see orange glow in picture below...

i wondered this when i swapped as my L&K had a light but the VRS hasnt :(

Randomly, myOcty II VRS does have a light in the ashtray. When I first got the car I was slightly surprised by it, but it does make it a handy little bin for storing coins in, and also slots my mobile neatly out of sight when stopping for a minute.

My car also has a cig lighter in the 12v socket (as opposed to just a blanking cap) - not sure whether they all do or whether it's just a random option mine came with?! It's certainly never been smoked in.

If it's just used for storage, I can recommend taking the ashtray inner bit out (the bit you'd remove to dispose of ash) as I have done with mine. It pretty much doubles the depth of the storage.

same here removed mine so it could make way for some more important things ;)
