Wait time for new Karoq Sportline

I have been a happy Skoda owner for the past 7 years, currently driving an Octavia VRS. I decided to upgrade to a new Karoq Sportline and placed my order with a Melbourne dealer back in August 2021. At the time they promised that I would get "regular updates" as to the status of my order. Six months have now gone past and I have never once been contacted by the dealer. I have tried using the "track my Order" link on the Skoda website and all it says is "Contact your Dealer". I would like to hear from any other Australian customers who have actually received their cars, to let me know how long it finally took from order to receipt. The dealer seems unable/unwilling to give any information at all. I almost feel that they are wanting the order to be cancelled so that they could resell the new car at a higher price than the one on my contract.
