RE: 2006 vrS OWNERS STUTTER - SKODA UK FIX

IT IS a 'feature'.

A 'feature' which i personally didn't like so i changed it with a 9mm gasket

I also didn't like the 'feature' that the cars rolls about a lot in the corners - so i changed that as well.

In time i will also change the 'feature' that it only has 130bhp

Either way, whether you label it as a fault; feature; side effect; phenominon; characteristic etc - if you're not happy with it there are 2 options available:

a) Fix it yourself as per Stu's guide, and within days the stutter will be a distant memory

B) Give the car back and buy something else in the same price range like a lovely 1.4 Corsa or a Fiesta.

Skoda aren't going to do anything about it - FACT. And although the court case wasn't in a high enough court to set a precedent, the ruling WILL still be used as a reference to aid a future judges' decision to rule that the stutter isn't to be deemed as a fault.

My best advise to anyone is this position is to stop being the difficult customer, get the fix done and enjoy the car. Trust me - you will wind yourself up and lose sleep over it much more than the guy behind the service desk will. And your car will still stutter at the end of it!
