Octavia MK3 engine CHPA, VIN TMBKC7NE1E - brakes

Featured Replies

Hi All,

I'm having issues with selecting or finding which brake pads and discs will fit my Octavia III Estate (5E5) 1.4 TSI Petrol 140 hp.

There's no PR code other than 1KD for rear axel, searching via links to VIN finder with no success, the same for engine code.

Does anyone have the same model and knows which brake pads and discs I should buy for the front axel, or how to find it out?

What diameter front brakes discs do you have?

276mm, 288mm, or 312mm?

Jurid on autodoc lists your car as having 288mm front brake discs, and I suspect this is what you have. This would mean that one of your car's build codes is 1ZE

Hi Carlston,

Thanks for that.

How did you and/or Jurid get that info?

The only question raise the year for the diagram, stating octavia 2016, my is 2014. Would that potential make a difference?

As I said no code on the PR sticker (attached)

I don't know where Jurid gets their information, although I have noticed that they do often seem to know what size brake discs are fitted to various models...whereas most other brands will often list all the possibilities.

I did check that the OEM part numbers for the 288mm front brakes discs and corresponding brake pads didn't change between when the Octavia MK3 was introduced and 2016 (the last year shown on the 7Zap Skoda online parts catalogue).

There might be about 180 build codes or somewhere around that figure for each car, so most of the car's build codes aren't shown on that white sticker/label.
