Suspension warranty?

Featured Replies

I had new standard shocks and springs fitted, by a dealer, a few weeks ago.

The car has recently started handling like an acid crazed hippo on rollerskates. It would appear that either the shocks weren't changed or I have managed to blow all 4 in the space of 7 weeks :grumpy:

Is there some form of warranty on suspension parts?

12 months on all skoda dealer work IIRC

Have a read of the back of the invoice, Jon.

Back of the invoice is blank Denis :(

Oh well, guess I'll just have to wait and see. Booked it in 10 days ago, having been told the dampers were shot. Got there this morning and they may or may not have the parts to fix

Try the rear pages of your car's Service Schedule then, Jon, ie Additional Services Available - Accessories Service:

Skoda Dealers in Europe offer a 12-month warranty on all Genuine Parts from the date of installation or sale. The invoice of the Skoda Dealer should be kept for thsi period as proof of the date on which the warranty commences.

Excellent - thought there may be a mileage limit on things like shocks and clutches (especially as I do 1200-2000 miles per week  )

Ta Denis.
