Messaged but had no reply so thought I'd put it out their see if anyone else had done it. It's same engine so don't see it being a issue just wanted too make sure 1st

I think it would be a straight swap as I did something similar (bought a box that had been used on a golf). It worked fine. Be worth a confirmation from dtuk though.

@MarkyG82Cheers mate I did message last week and had no reply so messaged again today

I've been eyeing thm up on ebay for weeks and from what i could see all the vag ones were the same.  I just managed to get one that had been used in a Octavia VRS TDI and all the codes on the box are the same as from a GTD/Audi unit.

Whats codes please @GrimTon

I don't specifically know what they mean but all the DTUK CRD3+ boxes I could find on Ebay for VAG 2.0 TDI had the code E6 (in a big circle) 10R05/01*1068*88. Older boxes and ones for different vehicle makes that code was different. I managed to snag a bluetooth box so haven't been able to compare that to others as they are quite rare. Another code is "PowerControl RX 10866330". Obviously i'm not saying this as absoloute fact should it be incompatible and messeses with your engine etc etc etc, but just from my findings.

Thanks mate@GrimTon

When I sold mine, I had people who had golf GTD's and Leon FR's asking me.

I do think they're compatible, but if I'm honest, I'd save your money and just get a remap done

Remaps not a option as under warranty at min as would of been my 1st choice 👍

You won't get an answer from DTUK as without the tuningbox serial No. they won't know what version of the software is on it.

DTUK do sell a software update for 2nd tuningboxes but, its a 2nd hand item therefore, there's no warranty.

You've got an expensive car, why not buy a new tuningbox that you know is perfect for your expensive car & will have warranty & customer support service.?

BTW, I've hade 3 DTUK tuningboxes for various cars & they all worked great
