Key fob not working VRS

Featured Replies

Afternoon peeps,,

I’ve just replaced the battery in the fob CR2016 is what was in it originally, but when I tried it it still didn’t work,, I had a search and it says press a button and within a minute open the door to sync fob,, this didn’t work 🤣, wasn’t even sure it that is the correct procedure to re-sync it 🤣,,

the buttons on the remote look a tad worn but they do click when pressed.
is there a way to sync the or is there something I’m missing like checking a fuse 🤣,,

thanks peeps

Does the red LED on the key flash when you press a button?

Ahhh so the lad I bought it from has put the wrong battery in as it had CR2016 not a CR2032. I’ll buy another battery and see if that helps

Any particular brand ?? Or will any do mate.

Put in a Panasonic CR2032 and the light still doesn’t flash mate,,, guessing that means the circuit board bit must be bad,,, is it possible to buy the board part and replace it with this faulty one or even a secondhand key and put my blade and chip in that

Ensure the cell is fitted correctly.

It's probably just a bad solder join of the cell tabs on the board.

Try wiggling the cell whilst pressing a button and watching for the red light.

No joy I’m afraid but I will still buy another just to rule out a dodgy/flat battery’

thanks for taking the time to help mate really appreciate it

No worries.
