Another timing belt question .... appologies.

Featured Replies

Hi

I have a 2011 Skoda Superb 2.0 CR 125TDI with the CFGB engine.

When I look in the Service Schedule I see a timing belt change due at 210,000 Kms with no time specified.

I'm in the process of selling the car having bought a 206 SportsLine in February and I regularly get asked if the timing belt has been changed.

When I look at the Skoda Maintenance Document in Erwin I see the following

Australia is on the list of Dust-rich countries, its a large country, and certainly in central Australia the dust can only be described as invasive. Sydney on the other hand is more like a warmer London.

I had to hang up on a ***** last night who, only one question in, wanted to argue that it was 100,000km or 5 years which ever was the earlier. I'm getting less tolerant as I get older.

Should I be going off the Service manual for the CFGB - 210,000 Kms or something different?

thanks in advance.

Skoda uk suggests 210,000 km or 5 years. Not sure what Skoda australia suggests though.

I think Skoda UK is gouging you.
