Mercedes recall on some older cars with a possible brake issue

Featured Replies

Tough luck today on those with the cars possibly with the issue that are told not to drive the cars until they are inspected.   Mercedes will be sending out lots of techs or recovery trucks then. Or owners might just ignore such advice.   Anyone wanting the details should find them easily in the many media articles online.  Corrosion under rubber cover at brake booster it looks like being.  This looks like another expensive recall for Mercedes.   Maybe even an upselling opportunity for Dealerships.

There has been a BMW Recall on Coolant Leaks running for years now and being a Voluntary Recall so just a Service Campaign there are many Series 3 Diesels that have never had it carried out. This 'Safety Critical' recall is because of a risk of fire.

There are Lease cars about that the 'Driver' does not get to know about these because they are not the Keeper so do not get a letter,

then there are cars that go in for Service work and the 'RECALLS' Action is not carried out.
