TT arch liner mod. I will search to find out what that is but can you enlighten me lol

I'd ditch the springs and do the brakes. DS2500 pads, Castrol Super DOT4 fluid.

The arch mod is basically cutting a hole in the wheel arch liner and putting some mesh there instead. Behind the intercooler so allows better flow, in theory. Also, I'd get a panel filter rather than a CAI and dremmel the fins out of the airbox for better flow.

As some of you might know from the introductions forum i just bought a Octavia VRS and i have about £1500 to spend on engine modifications ONLY. Had some ideas about what i want and thought i would ask the people who know.

Im looking at getting an ABD CAI (the behind the bumper one)' date=' a 4 Bar fuel pressure regulator, A remap of the ECU and a Front Mount Intercooler

This is propbaly the place to start as the car has a K04 as standard dont it????????

Is this what you would do ?

Cheers for any advice

unless your changing the injectors is it worth going for the 4bar FPR?

i dont think your budget will cover a FMIC but unless your looking at running a bigger turbo further down the line do you really need one?

standard turbo on the vRS is a K03s.

i'd do a CAI or induction kit, a TIP, turbo back exhaust then a remap. then the handling mods above if funds allow.

Green tree air freshener' date=' job done. :D[/quote']

I've done extensive testing of this Des, recently tried the Feu Orange - gave about 2 BHP and 12 lb/ft more torque than the previous green Magic Tree  Although, the Magic Tree has been in for 3 months so there may have been some degredation :( I'll get another one and give it a try, but my advice at the moment would be to go for the Feu Orange :D

I thought about the Feu Orange but wasn't quite sure about longevity of said item hence the green magic tree route. I shall await the results of your research before making any further decisions on replacement.

PS.. Do these items have any effect on wheel spin, given the extra weight over the front wheels.

Minimal difference unfortunately :(

Have you tried strapping the wife to the bumper?

:D

What reg, mileage is the car? Hope you dont plan these things to a brand new one :)

Putting extra weight on the car to get traction on the rolling road. Don't think it made any real difference though

Just giving a few members a test drive, not quite what they had in mind though.

What these wheels......sorry about the quality. :o

are the black crome RS wheels... i see now, they looked different on the RR pic in the avatar...

i was looking at mine yesterday thinking about different colour options but on a silver car its hard to visualise what darker wheels would look like.

anyway, enough of the hijacking...

How about this......

hmm... think they are a bit too dark for the silver paint work, something doesnt look quite right to my eye. Maybe a dark crome back with polished spokes and rim !
