A Winter of discontent?

These strikes on the railways are self harming.

Many people I know have gone from seeing trains as a good way to not sure during CoVID. Post CoVID they started going back but now it’s a case that trains are not going to be valid. People are buying EV to be able to drive into cities.

I’m pretty confident that without commuting and minus these people passenger numbers are going to tank. As that point you need fewer trains and there will be less jobs on the trains.

The UK's economy is self harming and needs a reboot.

Many might be leasing EV's, but time will tell if HMRC / other Tax payers should be helping in that, & then with the cost of charging EV's and then the taxation on workplace parking or public parking might mean that commuting is the issue and  those that can not afford food and energy and accommodation need to be paid more and allowed to keep more of it.

PS

OT, but an Ex Labour Party Chairperson and Union boss is having questions asked over their tax dealings with the HMRC and loans and redundancy pay with no record of the money paid & actually being redundant, the job was still their for the next person to do.
