Dashcam - Which Fuse

Featured Replies

Hi,

I know this has been asked many a time and I have tried the search function but can't find a thread for the 2020 Superb.

Some guidance would be very useful as to which fuse I should piggy back to hardwire the dashcam.

I have tried 35 but that didn't power the dashcam even with the ignition on.

Here is the fuse diagram for my car

I also used the 10a slot in the first link with Nextbase cam. Been working without an issue now for two years.

For my Blackvue dashcam I used fuse location #47-Rear Window Wiper.

It's only powered on Ignition.

One word of caution during the install, my car shuts off some fuses even with the ignition on, after a short while (5-10mins). It really threw me as I thought the fuse was faulty, so just trust the advice about which to use and test it after with a complete power down and restart (lock, walk away, come back 15 mins later and see what happens).

This is typically what I use on most my cars. Also if it fails for whatever reason it's not really an issue

Thanks guys. I ended up using the rear wiper fuse as well. All working as it should now.

Hi, Did you use the BlackVue's Battery management feature? Mine seems to run the battery flat, maybe I've got it set wrong? TX

I've got the Blackvue Power Magic Pro.

It's wired to a permanent power source in the glovebox fuse board.

So far I haven't had any battery drain issues either.

It's been 2 yrs plus now.
